Bajaj consumer care ltd, the leading firm in the fast-moving consumer goods sector has released its 16th annual financial statement for the financial year 2021-22 to its shareholders. Bajaj Consumer Care Ltd is incorporated in the year 2006 as Bhaumik Agro and changed its name to Bajaj corporation Pvt ltd in Sept 2007. BCCL is engaged in the production and sales of haircare, skincare, and styling products. The company has more than 30 export presence, 3 wholly-owned manufacturing plants, and 8 outsourced manufacturing plants.

The FMCG sector is the fourth largest sector in share market. The FMCG market in India is expected to increase at a CAGR of 14.99 percent to reach $220 billion by 2025.

In the financial year 2021-22, BCCL has launched two fully digital brands: Natyv soul and Bajaj 100% pure about the expansion of the digital presence of the company. They have conducted a campaign namely "Style fearlessly" with Parineeti Chopra as the ambassador and thereby reached more than 2.2 crore customers. Over the year Hair oil segment has grown by 4.2 percent in value terms and 2.2 percent in volume terms. BCCL has launched a total of 15 new products in FY 2021-22.

Annual report 2021-22 in a nutshell

The company generated total revenue of 916.9 Crore in the financial year 2021-22 with a profit after tax of 174.5 crores against 223.63 crores in the FY 2020-21, which declined by 21.91 percent. The company provided a dividend payout of 67.6 percent in 2021-22. BCCL stock has a market capitalization of 1942 crore and has a basic Earning per-share value of 11.83/share. The company has a promoter holding of 38.04 percent and the Mutual fund segment holds 12.59 percent of total shares. The key point in the annual report of BCCL is that the company is now debt-free ( No debt). The total dividend for FY 2021-22 aggregates to Rs.8/- per equity share which includes one interim dividend of Rs.4/- per equity share paid in Feb 2022. In March 2022 the share price declined to its 52-week low price of Rs. 149/-.
